This oversized hoody dress/ sweater has a very symbolic link to my Berlin life about 3 years ago. I’ve been loving this cosy shape and material so much, often wearing it with converse sneakers and colorful tights… Oh my, i should have seen that!

But somewhere i’ve been feeling like wearing it differently now, in a more feminine way but the whole piece has to be trendy so i didn’t change the egg shape.
The hood alone makes it sportive that i thought i’d just need to remove it and add a silk bow and design a deep V line in the back.

That’s today’s outfit & DIY!

Usually i like to watch what i did on the blog before, it helps me to notice what i did right or wrong and to see what i would like to do new next. And sometimes it’s funny to notice how bad a shopping find -and a look- was.

Take for example this tweed top; i mean it’s great for someone really tall, not for me. But i liked the material SO MUCH that i didn’t care the question of the shape.

So it’s been the last DIY project: i reduced the length, adjusted the sleeves to make them slimmer and opened up the front of the jacket. No buttons nor zip. There’s already one on the back!

Time to enjoy wearing the jacket on a spring day under the sun until evening…

Finally the weekend! There have been a lot of things to do, but i’ve finally finished the jacket…

Art deco has been the main inspiration, remember here, i was still hesitating. I love the 3 tones leather patchwork on the pockets. I wish the weather is going to be not so cold so i can wear it all day long outside!

Remember of the striped tee-shirt from RTL session?

That’s the way i prefer to wear it, still with its large ribbon bow and matched with a pair of jeans and a wool coat… independently from the fact that i’m french, that’s what i would wear everyday.

DIY Session for RTL TV, 3 Kleider zu nachmachen bei Virginie Peny

It still sounds surreal as i’ve been contacted to be part of this TV project on the german programm! That kind of soap that you watch without thinking that you could be one day part of it.

Because this DIY session of 3 designers dresses has been an entertainment: Alexa Chung in Pucci -you might know this one from here!, Olivia Palermo in Diesel and Eva Mendes in Miu Miu…

Showing people how easy and cheap it can be, with smart tricks and a structured know-how, but without exactly copying the original -you should know that it’s not my thing! Let me add that i’m used to work at home, so my atelier is normally not open to the public but you’ll find my products on Online shop here at Dawanda.

Many thanks to the RTL TV team, we’ve had a lot of fun!
