DIY/ Navajo Belt
Believe me, I’ve been searching for a navajo belt style in shops for ages. And like each time I’m looking for something special, I never find it.
So, up for today’s DIY project!

It can’t be more simple: a large range of embroidery threads in different colors is everything that you need… I’ve chosen yellow, blue, red, white, black and brown tones.
1. First define the succession of colors…
2. Then fix the thread about 10 cm from the belt extremity,
3. wrap the thread regularly around the belt, highly closed from the other ones.
Change up the colors; make knots appears only on the reverse side!
4. Wrap and mix the colors again… and keep up the work until the other extremity of the belt (lasts around 1 hour).
Feel free to add some beads or sequins to emphasize the navajo style. I personally like it rather simple and clean, so I only made some stitches, like here:
You can also glue the knots to fix up the work,
That’s all! I couldn’t be happier, it fits with loads of stuffs and will add a great balance to a unicolored outfit… or on a simple winter coat, like here!
I hope you enjoyed it, see you soon!.

Absolutely stunning. I would pay good money for a belt like that but it is so simple to make. It looks very pretty around the coat.
