My first addiction to slippers didn’t left me many DIY options -see here- so when I stumbled upon those velvet basics from Zara I couldn’t help to think “this is it”! Nice for inspiration: the new Prada collection, anyways it is… too much for me.

Combining baroque elements to khaki color was the main idea. Hier geht’s zur Anleitung auf annabelle Fashion Daily!

Here is what you need:

-1m khaki cotton ribbon,

-metal sequins,

-4 x iron-on baroque patches,

-thread, needles and scissors,

-universal glue.

-Zara velvet slippers, currently in stores.

1. Define where you want to apply the patches on the slippers -I finally decided to iron on the front.

Maintain the patches with needles and recover the surface with cotton material.

Press slightly and iron -after removing the needles, make sure to insist on it.

Do the same on the other shoe.

And here is what you should get:

2. The khaki bow: follow those steps -the bow should be 6 cm wide.

Then define its place on the shoe,

Glue on the reverse side of the bow and press on the surface.

Finally hand sew some stitches to make sure that it won’t move.

We’re done!

I hope you enjoyed the DIY and wish you a great weekend -under snow?
